This Saturdays Flickr Meetup at Gatorland was a great outing with the highest turnout so far.
The latest count stood at 44 Flicksters! Pretty cool.

Gatorland and it’s Mike Godwin went out of their way to accommodate our Flickr Group!
Starting with reduced entrance fees, Mike even started firing up the Grill and serves Hamburgers
and Hot Dogs on the House! That’s what I call service!

The weather could not have been better – not a cloud in the sky – the first day of spring truly delivered.

While the Rookery was not yet in full swing ( a result of the coldest winter in Florida’s history) the
place was buzzing with activity!

From small to large birds, from chicks to adults a lot of action was to be seen all over the rookery
and Mike added some excitement with Gator and Bird feeding action and closed the day with yet
another Grill session!

So many thanks for all that did attend but especially to all the work our excellent Host Mike did!
Kudos!

While Flickr should have done that by now on its own – there are ways, to get it done anyway.

Here’s the how to:

If you do not use Firefox – give it a go. Aside from this neat add-on, it offers a lot of great features
for everyone who’s at home on the net!   Here’s the download link:   PC |  Mac

If you already have FF – or just installed it – go here and install Stylish. It’s an add-on that allows
you to style any site to your liking.  Here’s the Black Flickr style, that was provided by Virtua Gallery.

Copy the content of the textfile to the clipboard – you will be needing it in a minute

Now that you got that done, go to Flickr.com.
In the bottom Status Bar of Firefox, you should now see the Stylish Symbol.

select Write Style > For this URL

and see this Window

Paste the text from your clipboard into the large window (Note to delete all existing content first)
Give the baby a name and hit save.

If Flickr does not turn black right away – select the new style from Manage Styles and select “Enable”

Now you’re set and Flickr is black. That all doesn’t take longer than 5 minutes.

There you have it – Flickr on black! Enjoy!

In time for the next Flickr Meetup – we’re happy to report that they are back. At – what turned out to be a mini Flickr
meeting at the Circle B Bar Reserve we were privileged enough to see the arrival of the first big flock of American
White Pelicans. Several hundred of them swooped in around noon. So there you have it!
Here’s who was there: Scott Helfrich, Fastball95, Shutterbugdan, Gary Defeyter, Klaus and Donny Thompson.
