We’re glad that FO is getting the interest we’ve hoped for.

However – as you have seen, there’s a lot of work that needs to be done, and we need your
help and input.

For one – if you are interested in getting active on FO, there are plenty of opportunities,
to do so.

Here’s a list of positions we need to be filled:

• Event Calendar Manager
  First task would be to scour the net to find events related to our common interests
  and to add them to our Event Calendar and keep it maintained.
• Contest Manager
  Maintaining current and future Contests
• Forum Manger
  Maintaining and handling the forum
• Link and Directory Manager
  Maintain, edit and links in the blogroll and directory
• Review Manager
  Support Location/Gear reviews
• Membership Manager
  co-ordinate Membership issues
• Flickr Co-ordinator
  co-ordinate Flickr issues
• Glossary Manager
  Our plan is to build up a Glossary of Florida Wildlife in time.
  Handling the issues related with that would your task
• Legal Advisor
  If you have a background in legal matters, you’re welcome
  to help us out, so that we’re on firm ground.

You should have some experience with websites, especially WordPress.
And while none of these tasks are extremely time intensive once everything
is in place – there is initially quite a lot of things to do and you should be
able, to allot a couple of hours per week to tend to the issues on an ongoing
basis.

Aside from that – everyone can contribute.

• Reviews
  If you want to provide a location, gear or software review – you’re more
  then welcome to do so.
• Events, Links etc. Same thing
• Tips, Tricks and tutorials
  If you got them shoot them over. We’d love to show ‘em here
• Tours and seminars
  If you’d like to provide tours in your area for Photographers not familiar
  with your stomping grounds, contact us.
  The plan is that you will be paid  a yet to be determined rate plus expenses.
  Nothing to get rich with, but to cover your time.
  For Seminars (sometimes in combination with field trips):
  If you have a particular Wildlife/Photography related expertise we’d love to
  hear from you. We plan to offer occasional Seminars to topics like
  Photoshop, Shooting Wildlife, Courses for beginners etc.
  The plan is that you will be paid  a yet to be determined rate plus expenses.
  Nothing to get rich with, but to cover your time.
• Wildlife reports
  Send in, what you see on your hikes and shoots. Rare animal sightings,
  Migration status etc. The more people participate – the better a picture
  we can provide on the state of Florida Wildlife
• Your ideas and suggestions and of course critique!
  We depend on that – after all, this site is for all you gals and guys, who
  go out shooting and want to make the best out of it.
